Well I jus wanted some input before things get goin and yes I have read millions of other posts by other ppl and their builds but everyone is diff
my motor-d16y7
my goal-160 hp
Wat I have- an intake, full 2-1/4 inch exhaust with vibrant muffler and I also have header
picking up a port and polished d16y8 head next week

- with those things I'm guessing I'll have about 140 hp

- I was looking into delta camshaft grinding I wld send them the camshaft out of the head nd they rebuild it so I gain 10-15 percent more hp between 2300-8000 rpm tht wld cost 200 bucks

After tht I'm guessing about 150 or so
and finally I want to buy a chipped p28 or get it tuned on Crome
let me know what you guys think

do you want 160hp to the wheels or crank?

to achieve 160whp is gonna take alot of compression and heavy headwork

160 is a bit high
get a zex 59300 cam or delta 272 grind
pg6 76mm pistons check clearance or just get some 76mm pm6 with shaved head
z6 or y8 intake manifold
and a killer tune
this is all i can recommend

Even if you don't quite achieve your HP goals, It will be a fun motor. And May surprise a few B swapped Civics at the track.

thanx for the input my next question is...Is there an oil jet/restricter in the y7 block?

Hate to burst your bubble but you will not be anywhere close to 140whp with your curent set-up.

My old B7 had a shitload more done to it with a delta 272 and I only put down 135whp.

You will be "LUCKY" to see 120 whp with your current mods.
