anyways.. i finaly found a complete y8 head ...i was thinking that for now i would just run the manifold on the y7 ( while the head gets sent to the machine shop and while i look for the ecu and all that stuff)..

but i was reading some where that puting on the manifold is not plug and play ...due to the iacv being different from the one on the y7 mani...

i was wondering how bitchy is it gonna be to wire shit up( i suck at wiring and electrical )

and can i use the y7 distributor on the y8 head?

soorry bout the noob question .... yes i ve searched but no luck

make sure you know what year that manifold is., some later year y8 manifolds had air injection and thoes have to be sealed when put on the y7 block.

Yeah you have a 3 hole iacv but the y8 mani has a 2 hole iacv. Its pretty simple to fix, one wire is discarded the other two are cut and spliced.
Heres the link to a full mini me. If you just want the iacv part it is towards the end.
