So for the last several years, and over 3 different chassis, I've had my wideband output logging to D12. Now I'm not getting anything through my Neptune on my datalogging. I honestly can't remember if it's worked since I put everything in the new car less than 2 months ago, but I know it wasn't working a few weeks back when I went out to check the tune, so I just watched the AFR gauge on the MTX-L (which is working fine).

Yesterday, I finally decided to investigate some and found I'm getting proper output all the way to the harness pin I added. With key on, engine off I was seeing a touch over 5V actually, it was kind of fluctuating around 5V. I tried to squeeze down the part inside the pin that contacts the ECU's pin, but no avail. Wiggling the wire with everything hooked up didn't do anything either.

I checked all my settings in Neptune and nothing's changed. It's all still set to log from D12, my voltage offset's same as it has always been, etc. Could I have damaged something in the board or computer itself? What other pin can handle a 5V input, as I remember reading a while back that some are only 3.8V.

Eld i dont remember the pin.
The o2 caps out at 3.8v like you said.
Its possible that maybe something went bad in the ecu.
I really couldnt tell you what.

Also i would take a volt meter and check the wideband output with it unplug from the ecu, just to make sure.

I did, I unpinned the wire from the ECU plug and it was getting proper V. What would be the downside to not running ELD? It's in a CRX, and I'll be honest I don't really know how not running an ELD will impact it.

ELD is D10 if I recall correctly, but it requires some small modifications to the ECU again IIRC. It's been a minute, so....

These ECUs are getting pretty old at this point, so it could be just about anything. It sounds like you have pretty much ruled out any wiring problems.

D10 on obd1 is eld. I don't run the eld on any of my cars,no issues.

That's true. I couldn't remember which ones required modding.

Does this require anything to be modded in the ECU?

I'm not sure if the ecu needs to be modded or not to use the eld for data logging.

I only use the serial datalogging capabilities now. The one wire 0v-5v signal is just the shits when it comes to accuracy.

I use the LC-1 modular tuning system SDK plugins. Much better than the single wire out. Instead of using the Innovate logworks software, the SDK plugin directly ports the serial data from the LC1 to the tuning software, in my case eCtune.

Well I figured the problem out. In my haste to get the car together I put in the wife and output to the a connector instead of the D. Working great now that it's pinned correctly!

Edit because the original is too funny.: I had the pin in A12 not D12. I have not idea how voice to text got that so screwed up...

I'm using the ELD input whatever the pin is (can look it up easily enough) just make sure to disable it (ELD) in Neptune or you will get a code.
