Hello.. im about to buy an aem uego to tune my car and have a question..

It's possible to keep it plugged into the aem gauge + the ecu (p28), both at same time ?

So i can datalogg / tune when i can.. and read the gauge always?

And it's possible to turn it off (the sonda, the gauge, the controller) when i want (to extend the lifetime...if it helps) ??

i dont follow your post entirely

what i was able to understand is you would like to run a wire from your w/b to your ecu for all in one datalogging which is possible but takes a bit of work to get right

with a aem ugeo you simply run the white wire to the stock narrow band primary o2 sensor pin on the ecu, i believe the pin is d14 on a obd1 honda ecu

you will have to calibrate your tuning software to the correct voltage so that your readings will be true.

hehe sorry.

my question is..

i plug sonda<>gauge right? then gauge<>ecu pinning... what i want to know is: at the same time there will be signal to ecu + signal to the gauge? since it has only 1 channel...

i want to know if i'm able to see the AFR in gauge and Datalog thru the ecu/software at the same time :p

I don't think so. It sounds like you want to run the same WB output coming from the sensor to both the gauge and the ECU. That is not a recommended setup. I believe that you would run the WB input to the ECU and do your tuning and then when you're done you run the ECU off the NB in closed loop. Then you can re-wire the WB output to the gauge but then you lose your datalogging. The reason that you don't want to send the output to both at the same time is that you could loose some signal when powering the gauge. The only setup I found that is designed to provide a WB signal to both the ECU and gauge at the same time was PLX.

i bought the aem today.

humm i was thinking this:

1) wide connected to the gauges always, ok?
2) wide connected to ecu while tuning the maps... then when i have a good map/chip, disconnect the wide from ecu and keep it on openloop (without corrections by the ecu).

so, i will unplug from ecu when chip is done.. and gauge always on.
What you think ?

Sounds ok except you want to run in CLOSED LOOP after you're done tuning. But that's ok you can still run your gauge with the WB output. Closed loop runs off the narrow band output.

You want to run closed loop so that the ECU can dynamically adjust the AF mixture as variations in engine load occur during stop and go driving. Remember most tuning is done on a dyno and limited street tuning. It won't account for EVERY load or condition your engine will see.
