My car has 93K miles on it, but my new cluster says 62K miles.

Although I could just leave it, I don't want any problems when it comes time to pass inspection or to sell the car... especially since my title says the car had 68K miles six years ago.

I need to roll it forward, not back.

Does anyone have a link to a write-up on how to do this?

eh its illegal to do it but if you have to then just take a small screwdriver and roll the numbers.

I thought it was illegal to roll it back... I want to roll it forward, because the new cluster has a lot lower mileage than actual.

It would look a bit weard if I take my car to get emissions tested, and the clock reads 62K miles, but last time they tested it, it read 86K miles.

I bought a DX cluster with broken temp gauge on eBay to practice on, but when I tried truning the odometer, something snapped, and the numbers no longer lign up... some are higher, some a lower.

I did too, but I'm converting to 5-spd, plus I like the 140mph mark better... even though I'm not planning on hitting it.
swap speedo's and the needles. it's not that hard.
red needles FTW!
