okay... so in the end my a/c was blowing really cold, started to ad the last can of freon when i noticed something wasnt right... turns out i have a lil hole in my condenser... Tibby knows a guy who has a spare for $20 so he is picking it up for me tonight... looks like i have to spend another $30 in freon...

so i decided to re-install my A/C due to the hot ass humidity...
the process was straight forward, i cleaned all my lines with a/c flush and added 6oz of PAG oil to the compressor and replaced all my a/c o'ring's with brand new ones...

here are some of the good's...
a/c bracket from a B20, along with the belt tensioner bracket and pully... i also order a tourq mount bolt and nut while i was at it...

all mocked up...

Harbor freight for the win...

just a pic after i removed the radiator...

just a few more before pics... yes, i removed that oil filter relocater...

B20 a/c bracket/tourq mount bolt and belt tensioner all bolted up...

what would we do if it werent for spare nuts and bolts...

worth there weight in gold...

a/c lines all cleaned up with brand new o'rings installed...

they fit like a glove... it was really surprising how easy they were to put back in, i still remember how big a pain in the ass it was to remove them 4/5 years ago...

condenser is in...

compressor is all hooked up and has 6oz of pag oil in it...
FYI:
before you vacuum the system or try to add the freon in, put the PAG oil in the high side of the compressor, then you have to spin the clutch about 15/20 times or you can hydro lock it... make sure your spinning the clutch and not the pulley...

pulling a vacuum... this lil $15 air feed vacuum pump works pretty damn good...

just showing that there is indeed a vacuum... once you close the valves and then turn off the compressor it should drop to approx 27 inches...

im sorry im just saying factory shit aint cheap
it's all good... i bought all the OEM shit from Meyer Honda out here in Illinois, they took good care of me...

bracket was only $70 and i'm cool with that price... i'm sure i could have tried to hunt one down for $20 but didn't want to chase my tale this time...

this is how i got the good prices...

i went to Honda Automotive Parts

i made a list of the items i needed, wrote the prices and part number down, called Meyer and asked if they would beat or match prices from other dealerships, i told him i would rather spend the cash locally then give to another state...

in the end, Meyer was cheaper... there would have been shipping and handling fee's involved with Majestic so even tho there actual prices were a lil cheaper, i saved a shitload by not having to pay shipping/handling fee's... :td:
