Hello,

I'll give some background so my post can make sense to those who can offer assistance.

The oem motor (d16y5) had a corroded block because I used tap water instead of antifreeze. I swapped the corroded y5 block for a b7 block and fitted my y5 vtec-e head to it. After reaasembly, the problem started.

The engine rolls over, but won't start. I checked for spark...whitish spark. I removed the dizzy and spun it by hand. It made a clicking sound once. I turned the key off and then back on; same result...clicked once even though I kept spinning it by hand. I used a test lamp and checked all inj's...they're firing.

In conclusion, there is air, fuel and spark, but just not starting:-(. From what was described, can anything be extrapolated conclusively?

Springs over with key just doesn't start and run?

Got fuel, spark, and air right?

How is the timing? The timing will be off some since its an obd1 block and obd2 head

So check cam timing and spark plug timing.
If you have a compression tester use that and check to make sure your building compression.
