Hi, I'm looking into getting an ek hatch and as much as I've been looking around, nobody had ever mentioned why there is such a difference in weight with the 96 and 97. From what I've found 96 cx hatch is 2222 lbs. 97 cx hatch is 2304 lbs. 96 dx hatch - 2242. 97 dx hatch 2319. That's an 82 lbs. difference between 96 and 97 cx and 77 lbs difference between 96 and 97 dx hatch. I feel if I'm going to go with an ek I want to be as light as possible. Seems like nobody has ever brought this up. Is there really not much of a difference or is it just me?

A years time can make anyone gain weight.... My guess would be switched to different style parts or maybe one year had sway bars and the next didnt?

Better be right, or toaster will call you an idiot.

I think this is a mute point with the weights involved.
