Hey guys I'm doing the si tranny swap just woundering what type of gear oil I should be using in the tranny?

fuck honda mtf

they changed their formula to a thinner weight, Bone remarked on this before

do what I did in my last manual, mobile 5000 5w30 regular

10w30 motor oil as stated in the owners manual.

Mobil 5000 or Supertech....which are the same thing basically.

I am using mobil 5000 10 30. I got 2 cases of clean 5000. For 41 bucks. Enough for several oil changes and the new trans y8 I'm installing

If you go synchromesh make sure to get the one that states it has the friction modifiers. I made the mistake of getting the one without and well....i'm on my second tranny.

ok so i got the trans all hooked up and the car moving but im noticing when i drive it hard the 3rd gear grinds. Any solutions for this?
