So I'm posting my question here because nobody can get past D-Series vs B-Series on every other Honda forum.

I have a 91 Honda Civic RT Wagon Automatic with a D16a6.
I have a 2nd complete D16a6 Motor that I will be building and swapping once done.

I'm NOT going to Sleeve the block, so please don't suggest that.
I'm NOT going to convert to a 5sp, so please don't suggest that.
This is my Daily Driver, its NOT a race car or a rally car or a track car.
I will be keeping A/C and Power Steering.

I have a Sebring JRSC.
I'm going to build the a6 for the JRSC and reliability!!
I have a tuner, it will be tuned on a p28 with eCtune.

My budget is $1800, not included the tune, the P28 and the JRSC.

What pistons should I get?
Should I go with a vtec head?

What would you all do?

Thanks!!

How much can transmission handle? That would be my first thought and if were me i'd keep it simple and keep it non vtec. A cam, valves and porting did wonders for my car.

Its an RT transmission, i have no ideal what it can handle??
Its a JRSC I thin kits a standard 6 or8 psi pulley

You didn't mention your power goal.
I dopnt really have any power goals, Its my DD and I want it reliable.
With a JRSC maybe 6 to 8 psi..

What would you do is the question??

The JRSC wont make much power anyways, especially though the slush box.

A stock A6 should do pretty well. Maybe some DSM 450s or a similarly sized injector.

Dan's right, just run it on stock engine. Trans will likely hold as it's not muuuch power, but you are pulling the extra weight of a wagon vs the usual ligher hatch/CRX.

Did you convert it to MPFI but leave it auto or did I miss something where wagons came with the A6 and auto?
