tell me about what is need to run between open loop and closed loop on ecTune....like you did on your SOHC Type-R.......

Pretty much just a wideband. If you use eCtune it will take the wideband's 0-5v output and you can pick what AFR you want it to tune for in closed loop.

If you don't have eCtune, and want to do lean burn, grab a cheap LC-1 and reprogram the 0-1v narrowband output so that whatever AFR you want the ECU to tune for is 0.45v. You can connect to the LC-1 with your USB-serial cable that you picked up for that fancy battery charger of yours. Pretty cool stuff.


I wish I'd played around more with FE on that setup. I don't think I would have gotten rrussell's results, but I could have broken 55 mpg if I'd kept my foot out of it and played with a leaner mix + ignition timing.
