my buddy is giving me a t-25 for free for my project, and i was wondering what the specs are on them, and if my 1.5 can spool it well. and if it can where will i hit boost?

you'll be fine as long as the turbo is in one piece..
check for shaft play in the turbo...does it spin freely?

spins mint... and there is slight shaft play, but nothing critical

i'm new to boost, so what else do i need? i know i need a intercooler, charge piping, cx mani, adapter plate, BOV... anything i missed?

considering everything rotory20 said checks out, you will be just fine. Your 1.5 will spool that thing quick.....id say full boost at 2500-2750.

I have had a friend who has owned 2 talons. Both of the t25's he took off had major shaft play, as did the ones he grabbed from the junk yard. I think most of them will have shaft play unless the car has very low miles on it, or also unless the car was well maintained and not driven very hard. Id say buy a rebuild kit if you are planning to keep it.....

yeah you missed the most important thing....... fuel/engine management! you can use uberdata, hondata, turboedit, crome, or even an AFC HACK ( i wouldnt do this, but it is still an option. it allows little tunability compared to the others i listed.)

well thats a huge chunk out of what actually needs to get done to get you going. you should be good to go.

^^^^^ there are many mixed opinions about this using t25's. IMO, its all in the setup...... it may fall short, but it should be just fine.

Mine makes good power to redline, maybe thats because I have some other stuff done to the motor to help (zex cam, skunk2 intake manifold etc)
upgrade to a t3 and you will realize what falling off top end feels like.

i swore up and down that my last turbo(roughly the same size as a t25) didnt fall off up top. when i upgraded, it was a night and day difference.
