Buy a vtec conversion harness online. It will come with the 2 plugs, wiring, and the pins necessary to add to the ecu/engine harness.

You will want to either reuse your current intake manifold (assuming it is the d15b7 intake), or you will want to source a MANUAL d16y8 intake manifold.

Best case intake manifold is to source a d16z6.

These all have the 2 wire IACV idle motor mounted on the rear. The d16y8 manifold will liekly have a small vacuum port on the backside of runner #1 that I beleive was used for cruise control. Plug it if necessary.

You can also opt to lock the vtec valvetrain, and treat it as a large displacement d15b7, or pretty much like a d16y7. You can buy lockout pins online, or junkyard hunt for some valvetrain pins. H/F series valvetrain parts can work as well.

The ECU problem. Your Y8 harness and ecu are for an automatic. Not the end of the world, but far from as simple as picking up an ecu from a 92-95 civic SI/EX or Del Sol Si 93-95 (Del Sol VTEC is the B16)

I personally would check out the d16y7 head from the hurt motor, and as long as the issue was not oil starvation, the head is possibly good. Then you can simply grab a headgasket and head bolts, and put the Y7 head onto the Y8 block. The Y8 pistons will cause a slight drop in compression with the Y7 head, I beleive. Check the Zeal's link in my signature for more information.

The del sol should have two chassis harness plugs. One near the ecu that is grey or green, and the other is the square-ish one near the brake booster. (not the fuel injector bridge plug. Check this one anyways, they like to corroded and make the engine run funky)

Find a wiring diagram and sort it out.

I do not think the del sol is a big integrated harness. It should be very similar, if not identical to the civics, just with sometimes different wiring colors. 93-95 for similar to 92-95 civics
