Ok guys so here is the problem I have a 91 civic ef converted into a race car (no dash no instrument panel ect) so I need to wire in a check engine light how do I go about doing that I see that d4 is scs and a13 is mil so can I run a wire from a13 to a light the the other side of the light to power... Then from d4 to a switch and the other side of the switch to ground would that then make my check engine light work when I flip the switch? The wireing harnes in the car is all out of a 93 civic si (body harnes is all obd1)

On mine a13 is green/org
And d4 is supposed to be a brown wire but the ony brown wire is on the opisite side of the plug

Any help here would be nice thanks

The way you described it would be correct. With your switch flipped, turn the key on and your light would act as a MIL.
