I can get some forged 10.5:1 pistons for a good price I was wondering if I could run 10-11psi on 93 octane if I put a thicker headgasket on for about 10:1. I know it depends on several things but it will be on a t3/t04e 50trim turbo w/ built head and crower3 cam

youll be okay......and it will most definately be a fun car to drive.

but like crazy said, GET A GOOD TUNE!! there is alot less room for error when running higher compression with boost.

Hey just one question... you using stock rods?? I don't know if I would run stock rods, 11psi on that turbo on an engine with that comp ratio.

This is similar to the setup I am building right now. 10-1 Wiseco pistons on Eagle rods. I have a T3/T4 Garrett turbo. I am hoping to get some better low end power than my old setup with the 8.5-1 pistons.

Hate to thread jack, but I'm running 11:1 forged pistons/shot peened rods. I've been talking about building ITB's, but then I've got to thinking about boosting low PSI(like 6psi)

Think I'll be OK with a good tune? I know good and well thats where the longevity/power comes from.
Luckily I've got a good friend thats pretty good on CROME.

11:1 compression -> 6-7psi
safe?

if I get bored of my high comp ITB build I'll proly throw in a thicker head gasket and boost a Y8 mani. Would make an awesome race car.

I've been looking at the srp pistons and see that they only make .010 over on a d16z6 I want +.020. I was thinking about getting a .020 over 10.5:1 y8 piston and since the z6 combustion chamber is larger it would should yield like ~10:1 right?
