I still had plenty of timing room using pump gas.. But the engine was just at its maximum . we played with timing and cam gear changes on the dyno, and that all we could come up with. 166/142 which equals to about just under 200hp/165tq. Not bad for notec.
Yes, P8R..I found a clearance deal on a set of Crane Ti springs and retainers. The box was so dusty when it arrived, it was sitting on the shelf for years. I redlined mine at 7200 and didnt have any issues. I usually shifted around 6500 to get back in the power band on the next gear. But I also had other supporting mods to get my B20 to 200hp
Yea, I scoured the internet, found an old post for a guy selling old skool Crane Cams. So I think I got em for 200 shipped. They were Crane 0016 and specs on them can be found online. But had no issues and were perfect for street.
Solid, man. Shoot me a message for a weekend you want to link up and do some coverage on that build. I'm going to start traveling soon (this month and next month) to cover a few projects along the east coast and I definitely want to get this in the mix.
I'd like to do this as a video shoot if that works for you.
