Default Where is Mr Whoopeedoo? I need a S20 transmission for my 76 Civic

I emailed him & PM'd him. Mayb he's taking some well deserved time off?
I'm about ready for a S20 Si, cable, close ratio, lsd, 4.058 FD trans. I have a good Si box now I scrounged from the JY but going with the aforementioned.
While I'm here, a little history-
As soon as I get the D15B, I'll be transplanting them in my 76 Civic.
I just converted it to 4x100mm from 4x120mm, adapted 9.5" front discs & still working on 11" Corrado discs for the front, 11" rears are done, Legend m/c, 92 Civic booster & ss lines - so the stopping department is covered - yes tires are new Hankooks for those saying hey all that stopping power is crap w/o good tires. The brake balance is quite good now & stops scary fast.
Just added BC Racing coilovers, all new poly bushings & swingarms & all new wheel bearings. Waiting for some new rear shock to hub bolts - Fastenal sent them to the wrong state - 200mm long so hard to find.
Anyway going with a D15B vtec, probably a Crower cam, Hondata S300, 7lb flywheel & stage 2 clutch. Have the custom harness already. Should move well in a 1650lb car. Then just need to fab up the mounts & adapt some D15/16 axles to the early outers & on the road. I'll tune it myself with the Hondata. I Megasquirted the 1 avatar 1 gen CRX so well versed in tuning. Then next year going turbo - well versed in those too - Mk3 Supra & XR4Ti. Anyways - slow late night at work so thought I would share.

Went from a 1 gen Crx to a 1 gen Integra to a 1 gen Accord to a 1 gen Civic - hey I'm going backwards. '76 Civic is cool though.

I think a S20 is a hydro trans and L3 is the code for cable trans.

4.058 cable FD only came in 90-91 EX sedan IIRC and may be harder to find. Bone may have one or even Aqua who you are trying to reach.

Where are you getting gears for the "close ratio" ZC gears/mfactory?

ZC gears are getting harder to come by now and if you want a close ratio trans then you will need to find a set from somewhere before you send the trans off.

Just trying to make sure you got all your ducks in a row before you send your trans off and wait for more parts you need.

He was on here not long ago like already stated this is a bad time of year to want a trans and fast I'm sure he his loaded with work right now but he will contact you asap I'm sure. Have you tried contacting transzex? He may be able to get you in? But idk I'm just trying to help you find a good guy. I dont want to take a sale away from another guy on here just giving you another route to go!?!

He might not even get in with Bone. I'm still airing to get mine back on the bench for the shorter 5th gear. I don't say a word because my daddy taught me that patience is a virtue, a damned good one. I waited FOREVER and then a short ratio trans fell into my lap........a bone built short ratio trans.


OP, just be patient. These are small business owners not trans factories. They cater to like all of the Honda racing world and other makes and models as well. You will get your tranny pimped, I promise.

OP: I've only ever had ONE 4.058 cable FD, may have a core in storage. I do have access to a ZC gearset, but it will NOT be cheap.

Also, Aquafina has his own forum here as a site sponsor. I'm gonna attempt to move the thread.
