Default zc tranny in hydro housing?

Can I use the zc tranny in an 93 eg housing(dx) with an hydro clutch?

I think the countershafts are different sizes; but you can swap in the 3rd,4th, and 5th gear ratios.

what year ZC tranny?

cable, 4th gear will need grinding

hydro, all gears drop right in, but likely the ratios are the same. Being your in Germany though, I could be wrong on the gearing.

I mean the german ed9 crx tranny. Its 5 an 5 gear cable tranny. I believe it has the same gearratious as the zc

use the 3-4 ZC gearsets, 4th will need to be ground for clearance, and then a normal CRX DX 5th gear set, .771 ratio.

This will put your top speed at about 140 mph if you happen to cruise your nice Autobahn.

yeah I use the zc 3rd and 4th gear, but with the 5th Im not shure. Maybe I use the stock for cruising. I must datalog if the car drive with the new block more than 140mph. Im hoping for more topspeed than an eg6

the 92and up zc tranny has the same gearing as the si. if anyone was curious. im using a zc hydro s20 for my project.

I mean the 90-91 ed9 tranny, on agerman info I get this info:

1. 3.250
2. 2.052
3. 1.416
4. 1.103
5. 0.870

but I dont think thats right, this would be the shortest d tranny ever

Yeah. those ones are correct. In your other post, 1st was right but 2nd - 5th was from the Y1 trans from the SiR I. But still, having a ZC 1st - 4th with an HF 5th and a 4.5 FD would be SIIIICK.....if that's possible.....
