Default Honda ATF

Do I have to stick with the Honda ATF or can I use some synthetic ATF? My automatic transmission has roughly 144k miles on it.

i went to the dealer and bought genuine Honda ATF when i replaced the fluid in my auto tranny. i would guess you'd be safe using something else, but i decided my tranny was worth too much to try out something else.
