Default JDM s20 LSD tranny (pics added)

I just got a S20 LSD from a jdm d15
why type of lsd is in there

any information about it would be good.
gear ratios, power it can take as i am a boosted sohc??

same gear ratios as a normal z6 transmission. Not sure what to say about the LSD though.

its has the same code P20 B000 and had LSD 24E stamped on the gearbox

i always hear that those cant handle more than 150-160 ponies. but thats just rumors.

hmm I have the same tranny, still not sure if its helical (probrably) .......although it could have a Viscus lsd like Nissan and Mazda......

how much whp do u have and what with the about it not being able to handle over 160??

I've imported and sold tons of JDM engines and never seen one with this mythical factory LSD........

Here are the pics of the myth that i am looking at
the red marking are from the supplier who brought in the gearbox
i also took the pictures that u can see various markings at the same


straight through view though differential



LSD stamped on the top of the block along with 24E
red marking from importer.



here we can see P20-B000 stamped in the gearbox and the
straight through view of the lsd at the same time



lsd stamp and the s20 stamp on the gearbox


feel free to ask any other question or vounteer any information u have.
