Default Axle removal question

I'v had to remove the 2 axles, they simply need a rubber boot over-haul.

They were not noisy at full locks, and looked OK except the rubber boots were"shattered".

Removing the Left Side with no boot, the joint seemed to come through the banana shaped hole part of steering, ( see picture).

The drivers side still had the boot on, and would not fit through to slide/remove through the gap.

More bolts to undo, eventually was able to remove it, with the rubber boot intact.

My forward thinking says, that I have to do this anyway when replacing with new boots, that is take more steering arms apart because the CV won't fit through with rubber boots

Is this correct ?

The way it is pictured is how all of my CV removals have looked basically.

I normally remove the weird dog leg piece (bottom of the strut) only.
Its 3 bolts the top the bottom and the brake line. Then the lower ball joint.
Others might have a faster easier route.

Of course the axle nut must be removed also and the wheel.
