lets see.............

$1000 to fit a stock hydro tranny into a 88-91 car...........

or.......

$1000 for a built Si tranny with a OBX LSD.........

Why even bother??????

You need to design 3 new mounts and weld up the rear subframe.......it has to come out for the welding. Also the tranny will be moved 1" forward, so you'll need to modify the shift linkage and stab. rod. to match........

Yep, really saving money there!!!!!!

Also, what does his have to do with engine building?????

Me and a friend swapped a complete d16z6 swap tranny and all into an 88 STD hatch. in the end, it really wasnt worth it.

btw, we custom made our own mounts, and didnt have to touch the rear crossmember.
