Default How do I tell what year tranny I have?

Its a B000/9000 cable tranny (si)... how do I make sure what year it is so I wont buy the wrong clutch?

Do the numbers/letters above the 9000 distinguish anything?

count the splines on the shaft

then measure your flywheel size

it has 20 splines which would mean its not an 88 right?. Not sure how to measure the flywheel size.

yep 88 has a 21 spline input shaft.. the 89-91's have a 20 spline shaft

what if you dont have the flywheel? I have a 20 spindlie tranny and 20 spindle xtd clutch, but I have b7 flywheel.

are all the 89-00 flywheels the same? all 20 spindle trannys and clutchs the same????????????????????
