Default Custom alternator bracket

Not sure if I’ve posted in the right section but....
laying frame on a d16 ek hatch. RHD. passenger drive shaft is hitting my lower alternator bracket, don’t want to grind half the bracket away, has anyone made custom brackets or just any ideas for a solution before I make custom brackets?

I had a lower alternator bracket designed and fabricated by a member here a few years ago. I’ll need to go through my PMs to see who it was.

Maybe don’t lower it so much?

I had this one made to solve a problem with clearance between the alternator and the supercharger. So this one shifted the mounting point of the alternator downward about 1/8”-1/4”

Yeah, I thought about that but there wasn’t much to cut. I also bought a brand new denso alternator so I didn’t want to modify it in case I had to warranty it.

If you can find a mitsuba alternator, the terminal style is different and you can rotate it 90 degrees.

Sorry to get off topic OP.

LMAO thats great! Reminds me of the Russian's vs USA space writing tool joke.

The USA spent millions designing a pen that could write in all the rigors of space: vacuum/extreme cold-heat/zero gravity/etc.

The Russians just used a pencil.
