Default Rotor Splash sheilds

I'm rebuilding my front spindles and suspension completely.

The splash shields are to keep the road crap from collecting behind the rotors and keep break dust from collecting all over the suspension and axles.

Honda does not make them for my '92 CX.

Will '96 and newer bolt work? I can find @ $10 + shipping

Are there any other options?
Maybe I could some brake cooling ducts, any know of a source?

Do I really need these?

That's what I do not want JY ones since they are all bent up and most likely misshapen.

You can easily make some - I'm in the process of making some to hold a duct out of sheet aluminum.

Picts and a run down on how, I wouldn't mind making some with ducting for cooling.

I don't have any pics yet as they're not finished (off-season project) - but to quickly describe my idea:
  • Cut out half-moon shape from sheet aluminum.
  • Drill out hole and attach exhaust piping as mounting point for dryer duct.
  • Remove screws holding on OEM shield using the Lord's force and dark magic.
  • Attach home-style dust/heat shield/vent.
  • Test and improve!

Only issue right now is the metal I'm working with is a bit too flimsy to support the weight of the exhaust pipe I want to use. So either find a thinner exhaust pipe or more rigid sheet metal. I can't weld/don't own a welder so I'm thinking of using a lip/rivet to attach the pipe to the shield. Also removing those screws is going to be a royal b*tch
