Torn steering bellow repair

95 LX w/PS, I started hearing the familiar creaking sound when I would turn my wheel at low speeds or parked a few weeks back. I finally got under the car and found the steering bellows boots had torn on both sides. I have new boots and clamps, but I'm not sure how I should clean out the contaminated grease in the inner tie rod joint and how I can lube the rack so it stops creaking.

My mechanic told me to shoot lithium grease at the rack and regrease and replace the boot, will this stop the noise? I don't want o replace the rack right now, I just want the sound to stop.

Should I replace the inner tie rod ends (and outer) while I'm at replacing the boots?
