Default New EF Hatch owner

hey guys, new to the site and honda. Just picked up a project for $300, 90 Civic hatchback with a d15b7 block in it. Turns out the head was bad during the disassembly and the wiring is a disaster, but looking forward to the challenge. trying to figure out what direction i want to go with it after i get it running. Any kind of insight or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Step 1- Gut it

Step 2- H swap

Step 3- Try and keep tires on it

Just kidding. I would find complete unhacked harnesses to fix wiring issues or make your own and tuck them.

Can you provide instructions on how to wire all 4 vtec solenoids in parallel? I would like to hit vtec 4 times as hard, but I'm confused as to how the wiring configuration would look. Thanks

You link all the grounds, then wire each solenoid into the spark plug wires, that way they hit sequentially as the engine fires. This creates what I like to call asphalt shattering VTEC.

Looks like a nice find for $300, the body looks pretty clean. I am new to Honda's, so I don't have any helpful input but would be nice to follow the build on this.
