Default Radiator minus the fan??

researching what new radiator to get and looking at other builds I see some are not running the fan? How can that be? Total noob question I get it but how does it now over heat?

Thats a lovely radiator not sure how it answers my question, I do see a fan in the images.

At first I thought the guy who built this car had no fan then I saw it mounted on the front of the rad, is that how some are doing it?

It is somewhat common for people to run the fan as a pusher as opposed to a puller when doing turbo stuff, and extra engine bay space is limited
