Default civic d16y8 stock injector question

I've been looking around trying to find these buggers (yes, i even googled it slo_eg8 ) lol. They dont come with any injector rebuild kit and I have no idea where to get them or if i even "NEED"? them. any help would be great. Thanks.

Not needed. 9/10 they break off when removing old injectors

Grab from google. The brown parr is the part your talking about?

Its just a platic covering. Doesnt really do anythinng. The outlet of the injector is farther up and removing it doesnt effect the spray patten since its just open and not mesh or mettered

yes? i believe we are talking about the same part... the picture you posted doesn't have the caps on them. Obviously, when I do pop off that cap they look like that. It's the cap that fits quite snug into the IM on the spray side of the injector is what I'm questioning the existence of. It's almost like it keeps the spray side "square" inside the IM.

And i wouldnt think that part is needed. I see in your pix it looks like its an extra cover on top of that i posted.

but post a better pix with and without it on if you can.
