Default Come up ;-)

So.... I just bought a 93 ej2 with a z6 swapped in it complete with headers, cold air intake, and a set of d2 coilovers. Best part about it was the price.... $250 . The guy bought it from an auction for $500 and only wanted the wheels off of it. He did not know what he had. He said it needed a distributor and 2 fuel injectors because they leak. Turns out it doesn't need fuel injectors, the fuel rail just wasn't bolted down so when it slid up the gas spilled out. I also took the distributor cap off and the rotor is burnt to shit. I need to know where I can find the nuts to secure the rail in place. I also need to know where I can buy just the rotor. What engines have dizzy rotors that will fit on a d16z6? What size nuts do I need to secure the fuel rail in place?

Buy an oem cap or rotor from honda dealership or online from majestic honda. The fuel rail probably uses m8x1.25 nuts (just a guess here since that's a common size) so go to the hardware store and buy deez nutz

Update: ordered a refurbished distributor. Also was doing a little engine bay polishing and I noticed that there is a blox racing cam gear. Does this mean that there is an upgraded cam in there too?

I doubt theres a cam in there.. just the typical easy bolt ons is what it looking lke.

you have to open it up, look for markings. Usually means removing the cam.

I cant tell if the cam gear is set at 0 or not. But If there IS a cam, it should have some sort of tuning done for the cam. But who knows with kids, they just drop in parts here and there.

Is there a different angle photo I can take so you would be able to tell if it's at 0 or not?

The timing marks on the cam gear..

But advancing the cam doesnt mean theres a cam inside. But who knows what was done to it. Kids could advance a stock cam not knowing what theyre doing.

my friend was telling about a keyless ignition system for cars... He was telling me about a wireless starting key and you could weld the ignition wires inside something to keep people from getting to them and trying to Hotwire the car. Is this possible?

get a proper alarm and have it hidden if your thinking about security. And dont let geek squad install it.

Well the thing is that there is no ignition switch on it. It seemed to have been stolen at some point. I just wanna get rid of all that and make a keyless entry and start system. There already is an alarm in there but it isn't completely hooked up and I'm clueless when it comes to that type of thing.

If you haven't found the nuts yet they should just be 10 or 12mm (pretty sure 10, don't have the car right now) nuts with a flange, I got a few from an autoparts store.

So.... I'm currently at a crossroads with the car. I feel like I'm wasting my time with this z6. I want to know if you guys think it's better to keep this car and work on all the cosmetic problems, or, sell it/part it out and buy a better looking car.

-- P.S. I have gotten in contact with the original owner from WA and he told me that there are eagle pistons vitara rods and some sort of upgraded cam that I don't remember... I'm pretty sure I can get few grand for the car as is.
