Default Twin scroll turbo cam shaft choice

So I feel like I'm kind of entering a world not touched to much yet by d series people. I'm running a Borg Warner EFR 6758 twin scroll turbo charger and I'm trying to find the best cam shaft I can to match it. I've read that with twin scrolls you can run more overlap and duration in order to clear the exhaust charge out quicker and pack even more of a purer charge into the cylinder. Now I just need help finding a cam that will do this for me. Anyone got any good sites that I could go to to read more about different cam profiles? Or better, anyone have experience with this sorta setup at all? I can provide more info on my build if necessary. I'm sure I could just go to my local cam grinding place and ask but I'd rather get y'alls opinion.

Sooo..... What was I supposed to glean from those links? Didn't really see anything about cams in there unless I can't read

He's also not running twin scroll and my car is going to be for road racing not drags. Maybe I'm missing the page your talking about

if its road racing why wouldn't you want something smaller that spools quicker? like a t28? or disco potato?

btw, read through his thread. he goes from a 272-2 to a 59500.

Cuz Borg Warner duh.... But seriously this thing spools stupidly fast. Twin scroll, dual row ceramic ball bearings, gamma ti turbine wheel, compression recirculating valve which is basically a BOV but it recirculates the excess charge so you never drop out of boost.

If you're road racing, don't even look at more motor work yet.

The safety equiptment is a big investment if you haven't even looked into it. And judging by the fact you're asking about racing seats....

You have a long way to go still. Keep it simple, any more motor work will just add unnecessary complexity at such an early stage.


Even without roll cage, you're easily looking at upwards of 1k being pretty cheap, specially depending on what series your looking at getting into.

And then you'll be looking at tires a lot as well, just my advice...

roll cage is in the mail and Ive already picked out the seats i want. just waiting for the scrilla to buy them. any cam advice?

You guys are both sounding a big aggressive, while avoiding the question,

He probably wont be in a regulated class, either unlimited, street, or for fun.
You should appreciate he cares about safety at all, most people just want a 6262 to "Race the cops" with.

Knowing him, he will probably have 4 hoosiers on the EF doing time trials.


I know the guy and recommended him here. He's a good dude.
He is asking about aftermarket cam choices with a twin scroll, as the title suggests

Toast, I'm just sheding light somewhere it needs to be if it wasn't already researched. Because even for a Lemons car, that stuff can add up fast a hell. Safety equipment is more than roll cage and just seats too. HANS devices start around 600, maybe less on a group buy, but still pricey... And it's easy to get overboard beyond that...

Most people starting out Road Racing overlook that cost, and he literally has a thread asking about racing seats not long ago.

My advice will sound like advertising, but honestly ask Rocket Motorsports. He builds custom profiles and does all the math involved to figure out what is best.
