Default d16y7 harness question noob

hello to all I am new to this forum and hope I am posting this question in right section. First of all I have a d16y7 complete engine its in a 2000 Honda civic cx manual. My engine wiring harness is all out of wack I happen to have a d16y8 engine harness. is this compatible besides the vtec solenoid and knock sensor? If so whatelse do I have to do just leave unplug?please help I appreciate any help in advance!!

Vtec solenoid, vtec pressure switch, knock sensor and IACV.

It can definately be made to work.

I always make an attempt to update threads when I solve an issue. I hate stumbling across threads that the OP says they fixed it but don't say how.

Remember that a 96-98 civic harness won't work in a 99-00 civic. All so if the harness is from a 99-00 si the crank sensor plug and wiring is different.
