Exclamation d16y7 to d16y8 help!

Have a 96 hatch with a y7. Rod went through block, can't find a block and currently my only option is a rebuilt complete y8 have proof blah blah blah, anyways I know I'll need to get a p28 and a jumper harness,intake manifold and I need to wire the vtec, question is do I need anything else?

why do you need a p28? why cant you use the proper y8 ecu and just wire up vtec?

This is a pretty simple swap and there is tons of info on the web. If you use a P2P or a P28 you still need to wire VTEC and convert to a 2-wire IACV. P2P needs secondary O2 (which you already have but will need to lengthen) and a knock sensor. P28 doesn't need knock or secondary O2 but you need a jumper harness to make it work. I think it's actually smarter to make the P2P work first (so you have no codes, all the correct sensors, and can pass emissions/sell the car/etc). You can convert to OBD1 when you are ready to tune.
