Ok if i have the head milled 0.040 with my z6 it will bring compression to 9.96 to 1 ....Is taking 0.040 off too much?

Danz on here took like .090 or more off A d16 head. its been done, you need to use an adjustable cam gear, and possibly A shorter timing belt.

If your going to mill that much off the head you should have it ultrasonic tested for the deck thickness to make sure there will be enough left to keep gasket integrity.

honda cast a big dot circle on the head to tell you when you have reached the service limit

you can still go a few more thousandths and have a sealing surface.

That dot has different height limits based on casting.

Sorry, that big dot circle has nothing to do with the service limit, it was a casting injection point.

I have yet come across a FSM or even an AREA spec that allowed for .050-.060 to be milled from a head.

Commonly its about .015

There are a few people that took 90 thou off z6 heads to get quench, comp and keep the ideal z6 ports instead of switcjing to a y8 head. Rushi has done alot with this. Made good numbers and knows alot.

I've taken .060 off of a z6 head before and ran it with no issue.. I had an extra head and wanted to experiment
