Default Gplus radiator hose kit

I am in the process of repairing an overheating issue with my car and found my rubber hoses were bulging and crunchy so I decided to source out replacements. I found rubber hoses were more expensive than this kit (link) and well blue doesn't look bad on a blue car so I decided to get it. I have heard that silicone hoses have problems with not sealing as well as rubber and that you can slowly lose coolant. Anyone have any experience with this kit and what I should expect? Should I use the screw type style clamps that come with the kit or re-use my OEM ones. I heard the screw type apply less even pressure and they should be avoided as they can crack stuff like radiator outlets. Also, I intend to clean and flush my system with this stuff (link). I don't see any warning not to use with silicone products but figured I'd ask if anyone knew if the clean and flush is bad for the hoses.

Thanks for the input and advice
