Default HardRace Control Arms

Hard Race Front upper control arms EF 88-91. Solid!!!!!!!!! the upper ball joint is one of the nicest I think Ive ever gotten I love the three bolts per side. These are not Light but seem like they are ready for even a rally course or 200mph.

Now the rest of my bone stoke base EF will have to be built to fit these things LOL

The Tru hart were in my saves, they seem the same I like the way the screws face down could help with adjustments.

The HardRace have hard bushings that are available seperatly.

Hi OK
HardRace Front Upper Control Arms 88-91 civic crx

Quality = Excellent
Rigidity = Excellent
Fit = Excellent
weight = Heavier than stamped arms

Note: simillar to Tru Hart Brand the adjusting screws are different

Based on my observations opinions and searches. I have the HardRace Arms and various stamped arms

PS I will update some actual weights when and if I find my scale

I would purchase them again

Maybe update after you've put them to work for a couple of years and come back and let us know your thoughts.

Years LOL I only hope to survive one day at a time. These are going to live in a daily driver but unless I need to build some cutoms I will be putting a set in a rally build so perhaps that will help but they are just control arms important but simple.

There's actually quite a few things that make a good UCA, but you're not going to find those things out by unboxing it and commenting on how it looks.

You'd like to think so, but try telling that to Skunk 2 circa ten years ago.

Yes, over all Strength, Rigidity, Geometry, Adjustability. Weight, But that is relative to the rest of the set up, and how its being used.

I change my suspension set ups fairly often and do my own alignments etc. so I get the point of putting some time on it but I also think its just a transition. Tires wear bushings wear I get older. The Quality of what these are and will be is mostly what I hold in my hand now. Short of a good lab set up and a bunch of test subjects its what I have to share.

OK having gone down the rabbit hole on these shiny bits. This design relies on the welds of the tubes completely. A forged one piece design or some additional bracing might be nice. There are OEM Arms I would change before these I think,, especially on a track car.

So short of breaking one I will ask HardRace For some more specs on these so I can pass on what they have to say,

An effective review comes with a minimum of several months of use and observation for abnormal wear or noise.

Hi, weeks, months, years, or miles driven are not going to matter all that much without all the variables being tracked and recorded. If I had the resources to cut up a bunch of these we could run some numbers and make up some fun tests but I dont so all I can say is, as a long time car hobbyist, I like them, and think they are a solid part. Im not trying to be the definitive answer to all set ups and types of driving. In the end Ive had to use and trust parts without even that kind of info.

I do Like the Idea of being More in depth about a part, I just think it takes a bit more to get a good answer.

I did Email HardRace For more Tech Info. And can update my use.

PS IF The Arms do fail I may not be able to update lets just hope it will be a quick and I was carving up a real nice turn. Hmmm Devils canyon at sunset!

If you want to post about a part you like based on looks, the product review forum is not where you do it. Understand what I'm saying.

Before you banish me I wish more parts got a good debur and three step parts tumble, leaves a nice finish, even if it gets painted, wonder how carbon fiber would come out, Let the old school Hondas roll

Im just trying to be helpful, we all make an important decision before we attach a new part to our projects and having it in hand is not just about looks? giving it a critical look over is a good thing. Ive had parts that were carelessly made and parts that were out of this world amazing, those are judgments not always easily explained.

If you really dont like this post just take it down

Hardrace upper- I have used their older design and this newer design for years. They are a great product. I probably got 4 years of racing on the older one before the joint started to show wear and I'm on the second set for over a year now. Before that, I had a generic ebay part that didn't last one season.
