Anyone have an actual compressor map, not an estimated one? I've searched and seen some estimates, but i would like to know the true max. flow rate of the turbo. (Supposedly 23-24lb/min)
If thats the case this is the perfect turbo for my DD y7 turbo project, all I want is about 180-200whp and super fast spool! |

read my post titled gt-17 compressor map on page 2 and also the link to the formula thing to do it. im boosting my d15b7 with it at 10-12 should be 170-180whp and hit full boost by 2k. i'll find the link

read the whole post it took a page or two for people to understand i have a stock bottom end (hold 200whp w/ good tune) so i only wanted 160-180whp MAX to be safe. i think it will be good for a little boost in power for a dd. if i ever build it up then yes a bigger turbo is needed but it should work out ok for my hp goals just fine |

all i can find are the estimated map i just googled like 20 pages with no results. i'd say the map is damn near what it really is. i found like ten different maps that all look to be the same. plus all the reading u will get from the map are more estimates anyhow i would think it will give you the info u need.i ran it for my car i think i got up to like 230 before it sarted getting doen in the 70% efficiancy range. im only gonna push it to 170 ish and if and when i build the motor a new turbo will follow

E-mail Garrett and see if they can send you the actual map. If not try a Garrett distributor, see if someone cough's one up. It's probebly like getting a Holset map, they don't give them out, but the distributers and OEMs who use them will usually.

Garrett is VERY tight with thier maps, especially on the GT series.
The theoretical maps for the GT1752 are close enought o reality to be usefull. I would not think they would be off more than a few percent from the actual maps based on the results I've researched. It is a very fun turbo for a DD, much better than a T25, which is one of the first turbos most people use for a budget setup, or at least used to before the prices on T3s started to drop (not counting the craptastic Chinese made turbos).

i do not think you will ever get even 230hp out of that thing.. maybe even 200hp is pushing it...

its a small turbo... same as a t25 but its perfect of a little street car. im gonna push about 170-180 on one of these at 10-12lbs on a d15b7. it'll hit full boost at 2k or so. i dont know how well the top end will be but i've heard alot of people say in theory that the power will drop off 5500-6500rpms but i've read people online say it holds it up top but what ever i'll hit boost almost insintaniously. perfect for a little dd street car.

gt17 isnt on the list but u gota figure its between the gt15 and gt20 which means its prolly good to 230-240 but i wouldnt run more than 200 on it just to make sure your not hookin a blowdryer up to your motor

Um, no. 10-12 PSI on that thing is pushing past its efficiency range. I hope you have a good intercooler to push it that far.
I am very interested to see how fast this "cute" turbo spools. I'd run as large a downpipe as possible to help it maintain boost at higher RPMs.

10-12psi on a 1.5l it is still 75-76 percent efficiant, thats damn good if you ask me oh and according to the compressor map and the equations you can use on it it should hit fill boost on or before 2k

I ever see almost 400whp with t25 over 26psi on a D. I think It's way over efficiency range, but tell me how he did it 14psi to 26psi to gain something if it's out of efficiency ?

https://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=90422 here is the compressor map and the link for how to read it. do the math urself if u dont belive me. im gonna get a base map it at 12 lbs run at 10 for a while then kick it up to 12 it not gonna be a hairdryer plus i dont want 250 whp or more right now im not built and on a d15b7 so im kinda maxed out at 200 with a damn good tune im running a basemapecu with about 160-170whp just to stay safe. i think the turbo is good and efficient to like 15 or so psi on my motor.
