Default Is this turbo good for d16? (T3 (55Trim))

Compressor Housing T3 A/R .42 2 3/8" (60.3 mm) inlet and 2 1/4" (57.1 mm) outlet.
Compressor Wheel : T3 (55 Trim) 1.760" (44.7 mm) Inducer and 2.367" (60.1 mm)

It is a Garrett t3 turbo that someone is selling locally where I am at for $75. I was just wondering if this would be a good match for d16z6. this car is my daily driver and i am thinking 10 psi max boost on stock engine.

Sounds like a standard 42 / 48 volvo / saab turbo. If that's the case I've bought two for around that price before.

i thought about buying an autoworks kit and use this turbo instead to bring down my costs to go turbo. whats expected hp with this turbo 7-10 lbs of boost?

yea standard volvo .42 .48 it will not bolt directly up to a t3 flange because of the way they came from volvo . you notice how the flange is dished on the turbo ? Well on the manifold that part stuck out so you dont have to use a gasket well that dished circle sticks out around an 1/8 inch on top and bottom of what the flange covers . So you either have to mill the turbo flange down flat or make an adapter plate to cover where that hole sticks out . Ill try and get some pictures of my volvo turbo mounted without the adapter plate to help you understand what im saying

you can get the manifold made with that flange or atpturbo.com sells an "adapter" piece (its actually a hard metal gasket) that will allow you to bolt it to a standard t3 flange with out a leak.

again, call autoworks and ask. i am sure he will be able to help you with adapting that turbo to one of his kits to help you save money.

edit: i am actually surprised he has not posted on this already....

well turns out i was thinking of it backwards, standard t3 on a volvo manifold:

but a conversion could still be done with a flange from bmcrace. by pinning this:

between the manifold your going to get and the turbo, gaskets would need to be used. but this is all if you want a standard t3 flanged manifold, highly suggest this, so upgrades could be made later.
