Default D16Z6 Non-Vtec

since im having problems with vtec, i was just gunna throw that problem out the door and use a A6 head (fully rebuilt, stock) .

what would I need to do for the A6 head to work on the z6 block?
the car is a 95 EG hatch and the block is a z6

heres the list of things i can think of so far,i just need to know from what motor to get it from :

dizzy
timing belt
spark plug wires
cam gear
ecu (maybe, I was thinking using the chipped p28 but just have him disable vtec)

keep the VTEC head, find the problem.

To run the A6 head your gonna need to find a oil restrictor for the block.

so here are the answers to my question - of putting a b7 head on a d16z6... didn't want to hassle with vtec - or better yet... the z6 head has a broken stud in it (valve cover thing) - and I don't want to use it...otherwise fine. an oil restrictor...

what's the compression going to be?

Hey was this thread just Hi-Jacked?

SupraRXZ, IMO you'll be happier to find out why and fix your problem then go thought the hassel of switching heads.

I understand you may have all the parts so it's almost free. But someone in your area should be able to trouble shoot and tell you what to fix. It's not like you live out in the sticks.

The broken stud should be easy to have fixed or DIY. I have broken two bolts.

I got them both out without any damage.

There are a number of tools to help remove the broken bolt.
