Default SC questions, helpp!!!!

Alrighty, just got my SC in. Paid $580 for the full deal, SC, belt, pulleys, gauges, injectors, and FPR.

I'm thinking that it's going to need some work. The wheel on the nose is not sloped, and rotates smoothly. The idler pullies spin freely. The belt is in good condition. I need to check the rotors, but don't know how?

The guy I bought it off of said he took it off as soon as it started making a noise. Now, I know this is fairly common, but I'm still interested as to what people think it may have been, and what I can do to fix it.

And one last thing. Will I need a throttle body cable extension or can I use the throttle body cable as it is.

Well, for that price it will probably need to be rebuilt, and will probably cost that much to rebuild it.

The throttle cable is fine though.

Ok... well how would I know what needs to be rebuilt so that I can get started on that part. Considering the guy was selling his engine for $150 and he was still driving it daily... I can't vouch for the fact that the SC is in bad condition either. But I need to know how to check if it is! lol.
