Default D16Z6 turbo camshaft recommendations

So, I have to pick out a cam for my top end build now. I had targeted a Bisi cam but after looking into it, I find there are MANY recommendations to stay away from these despite their tremendous potential. I don't want to spend 500 bucks for a cam that may only last a few thousand miles, destroy my rockers, or just break entirely.. I can't just put in a general question of "what cam should I use"; that's like asking what tires I should run... It all depends on my use and setup.. What I would like to hear about are those that are running anything other than stock cam, the supporting setup, and if it is daily driven, raced, daily with some track, etc... What cam? How long has it been in use? Problems? Added info?
Price isn't much an issue as I have already earmarked a budget and frankly, 500 bucks seems to have been 1.5 times greater than Bisi's closest competitor.

Thanks in advance!

I bought Bisi cams for my DOHC ZC. Their customer service was incredibly frustrating and whenever you call you talk to a receptionist who always has to relay technical messages on which can take weeks after all the back and forward.

That being said, the cam hasn't fallen apart yet.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't buy a colt cam. Geoff there was super helpful, you can catch him on the phone to talk tech and he knows his shit.

Why did i buy a bisi cam? Because I didn't research enough beforehand. I've just got a spare set of cams, and will probably swap to colt cams in the future.

Thanks for your input. I haven't looked into colt or delta honestly. I'd like to set the record here though. I'm not trashing bisi here, I'm just stating that I've researched and read lots of horror stories about his cams. When I asked my tuner for a recommendation, he even told me that they have seen, first hand, damage caused by bisi cams. My tuner is John Vega with Phearable..I have developed enough rapport and trust with him to heed that warning. I was drawn to the Bisi cam by its potential, no doubt. I just don't want to spend that kinda money though just to turn around and spend it again in a couple thousand miles, providing it lasts THAT long; especially if I can spend 1/3 less for something that may perform only marginally inferior, but last 5 times longer.

I believe the material issue was resolved.

I guess time will tell. I've only been running mine for 1000kms or so.

I've just discovered rocket cams. Seems to have a decent rep and fair prices. Hmmm.. This may require some deeper digging.
The Bisi cam is not off my list yet as I have read the cores were better. **shrug** 3/4 of the info I'm finding is 6+ years old though on the majority of it.. /sadface

Has the person running the company changed? The bad cores, shitty welds, etc were a red herring. A fucked cam or a bad exhaust is replaceable; but if the shop starts blaming you for anything, where do you go?

Might elaborate on this for me. Bisi (customer service) is blaming people for fucked parts? I can understand something like turbo failure being user error, but kinda hard to botch a cam install in such a way to damage the cam itself.

Delta is it? That has the super customer service that will do what it takes to make things right with their part... This kinda red flags for me too. I admire that incredibly but such a stout backing is superb for business however, puts quality in question. Why hold THAT strong if you know your stuff is good and will last? Standard warranty/replacement is good enough if your products are truly on par..
