Default Build 90 percent complete, car won't start :(

Hey guys. So I'm finally getting close to the finish line. Buttoned everything up enough to try and start the car tonight but it wouldn't turn over. Just keeps cranking......

D16Z6 in my 98 Civic
Conversion harness and wiring has all been done exactly as the tutorials. I even checked continuity of the distributor to the pin's on the P28 ecu that I'm using right now. All checked out fine before I went to start it.

So my setup right now is
Z6 built with weisco pistons/arp head studs/eagle rods etc
walbro 255 fuel pump
ID 1000 cc injectors (Think this is the problem)
Turbonetics turbo
etc.

Anyway, went to start it up tonight and was all pumped to hear it run and it won't start at all. Just keeps cranking. So i'm panicking thinking I fucked up some of the wiring but I know I didn't. I took my time and did it right and checked and rechecked. I'm getting spark and the fuel is reaching the fuel rail. Pump is priming etc.

Now this is probably the part where you guys are going to laugh at me and think I'm a moron lol. I had assumed and my friend did as well that the 1000 cc injectors would perform as stock injectors because its being controlled by a stock ecu? The car is getting trailered to my tuner in October but I wanted to start it and break it in, in my garage and check for leaks etc.

Am I correct in assuming that running 1000cc ID's on a stock P28 ECU is my issue? Is it flooding my engine as soon as I go to crank it over?

Also I'm getting this weird hissing sound when I prime my pump. I'm not sure if I have a leak in my fuel rail or a bad fuel pressure regulator? I added a link.

Thanks guys for any help you can give me. I may put the stock injectors in tomorrow and try it again.

What these two said, you can also pull the fuel pump fuse and kill the pump, spray a small amount of starter fluid in the TB and turn her over. See if she fires, it should die almost instantly, but she should fire.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

Does it the sound the same if you prime the pump a second time? Kind of just sounds like pressure building in the rail but it's hard to tell.

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I'm waiting on my hondata s300 as my final piece cause its in my buddies car and he's not giving it to me until I am ready for the trip to the tuners.

I'm gonna try the stock injectors today.

And yes. That hiss happens on every fuel pump prime.

no tune=1000cc injectors shitting on your fuel pump.

stock injectors are a must to get it started, but honestly, I would get your buddy to give you teh S300, and just tell the ecu you got 1000cc injectors

saves you from possibly ruining a st of O-rings

EDIT they are crapping out on your pump because the injectors are firing as if they are small, and they are seeing a lot of pressure. The pump is likely still quite happy, but right now you are pumping enoguh fuel for 3 times the power right now lol

Success! You guys are Awesome. Right as always lol

There's no downpipe right now so it's kinda loud. That's getting fabbed tomorrow. But I'm happy. No leaks and no overheating issues!

She clicked over for a brief second after changing injectors and then I realized I had a 4 bar map sensor on. Took that off and put a stock one on. Worked like a champ!
