p28 would be the one i think... im not sure where a p06 is from... ive heard that there would be problems using a stock p28 on a y8 cause the maps are a bit different, but im not too sure.

You can use a p06 if you get it chipped for VTEC and then chipped with the p2p map.

P06 is non-vtec d15, it can be converted to run vtec (basicly a p28 at that point), just get a p28 with crome, etc. and the right map for your motor. If you are using an obd2 chassis you could probably use a p2p ecu if you have everything it will want, ie. cat (2nd o2), knock sensor, etc.

P28 ECU --->92-5 CIVIC SI/EX (sohc vtec 1.6 motors)
P06 ECU --->92-5 CIVIC LX/DX (sohc 1.5 motors)

best choice is a p28 since it activates vtec and maps are closest in stock form. if you end up with p06 a conversion is required as in VTEC hardware and actual chipping for the program, in the end it might just be more cost effective, to purchase p28.
