Thumbs up Can someone give me some info on the benefits of chipping your ECU??

Just bought an 88 Civic DX and I'm doing a minime swap with the Z6 head.I'm going to be purchasing a P28 ecu soon and was wondering,should I go chipped or what.What chip is good,how should I get it chipped?? Any info would be appreciated,great site!!!!!! Thanks for the help.

You need to do more research I think. You will need to convert to OBDI first of all and rewire your car to work with MPFI.

Bought both my ECU's from john vega, great guy, awsome turn around time/shipping, exactly as I ordered it. Tune was safe (somewhat rich and low timing I suspect) but my car ran great for as big of an injector upgrade as it has.

I already have the MPFI set up.So say I've switched over to MPFI which I am going to,dropped the Z6 head on,I am now looking for an adjustable cam gear with all this what is a safe way to go with the p28 ecu is what I'm trying to figure out.I'll be running an air intake is this something I need to consider when chipping???? Thanks
