Default vtec with obd0

i searched but didnt find the info im looking for what exactly do i have to do to engage vtec does the vtec pressure switch matter? just switch the selenoid on and thats it? im planning on an rpm switch but wanna make sure vtec works before i get the thing...

well, under VTEC you should have a slightly enriched fuel map to go along with it. There are ways to mod your ECU to use and have a MAP for VTEC if remember correctly.

motor is a 95 d16z6 goin into 91 crx si, if anybody needs to know, so i dont need anything else wired up to make the vtec activate? no oil pressure switch or anything else???? thats my main concern

probally just be easier to convert to obd0 you can get a jumper harness for about 75 bucks and get a chipped ecu

/\ You mean OBD-1 and run a chipped p28?

I'd either get a chipped and tunable pm6 or convert to OBD-1 and run a p28 for the time being.
