Default o2 moved

when i swaped my d15 for z6, i got a header and the o2 sensor was moved back behind the engine(as opposed to the oem position) would that effect my low end pick-up?
also if i wired the o2 ground with another ground in the bay instead of to the ecu would that effect anything? like say my timing buy 9 degrees, or at least thats what my timing light says...

I think all grounds go to a multi junction spot in the engine like a big plug and then that goes to the ecu so my guess is i think you can wire that ground in to another ground and it wouldnt hurt anything on the moving of the o2 sensor shouldnt hurt anything i've had a few setups with different locations and everything was fine.

my header did the same thing, put the o2 way back from the original location, it does seem to do weird shit every now and then but nothing major.
