Default Need some wiring help.

Hi guys, once again I need some help with first gen civic swap.

I'm on to the last part of it which is wiring.

I have a 95 jdm d15b to go in the car. I was told a 92-95 d16z6 harness would work so I have one from a del Sol. My issue im having is that the computer I was told to use (a p2 doesn't have the right plugs for the harness I have. The plugs on the computer are rectangular and everything on the harness is oval shaped. So I'm not sure if I got something wrong here, or if I'm missing something ....?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Post pics of the Ecu plugs you have. Here in the USA the p28 Ecu uses 3 plug in different sizes.

This is the plug style on the ecu I have. All the plugs on my harness are circular, so I must be going wrong somewhere... and this is the exact ecu I have. thanks again

That's an obd1 Ecu. I need to see the plug on your harness to understand better what you have.

Those 3 plugs should be up by the driver side strut tower, not by the ecu. On an obd1 engine harness the ecu plugs are not on the harness that you are holding in that picture. They are part of the chassis harness under the glove box. The harness your holding should have 2 or 3 main connectors that plug into female plugs in the engine bay.

So if I read that correctly that means what I have is an ob2 harness?

No that is definitely an obd1 harness. The plugs you are showing to us are NOT the ecu plugs. An obd1 harness does not have the ecu plugs integrated into it. On a obd1 civic/integra the engine harness plugs into the engine bay harness, and then that runs through the firewall and goes to your ecu, and other places.

You need to do more research.

The first gen civic doesn't use that same harness that the 92-95 civic uses. You will need to do a lot of wiring to get the Jdm d15 motor/Ecu to work in the first gen civic chassis.

Guess I was wrong in thinking a "complete" engine harness was all I needed. Looks like I'll be headed to the scrap sometime this week and hopefully get her figured out soon. Thanks again for your guys' help.

Cheers
