Question Stupidly set timing with headlights on

so had to heli-coil my t-belt tensioner bolt hole last night. after getting everything buttoned up and set back up i realized i set my timing with the headlights on.

how big of an error will that make in the timing?

Big deal or nah?

shouldnt effect it.
yes it make more of a load and causes the rpms to go up some.
But it shouldnt be enough to effect anything if you set the timing correct by using the service jumper

Canadian cars have daytime running lights. This means the lights are always on when the engine is running, unless the ebrake is on. I have never once thought to make sure the lights were out while timing the engine. LOL

yes i def used the a jumper in the service connector and let it fully warm/cooling fan cycle twice... just zoned out on the fact that the headlights were on haha..

True. While there is an effect, with most vehicles the effect may not be quite so obvious. I think the main concern here is whether or not it's a "big deal". Sure, it is a measurable "deal" but all things considered and in this particular case, I believe most people would agree that this would not be a "big" deal.

If it really is a cause for concern then go back and do it again with the head lights off, OP. I suppose if it's always in the back of your mind, then just take care of it.
