Default b series question: ls vtec ecu choice

hey guys thanks in advance for looking at my b series question on this board. id ask elsewhere but dont know anywhere else with the kind on honesty and acual knowlege i get here as for my question its pretty straight forward on an ls vtec b18a1 w b16/b18c head what ecu is ideal and what ecu's will work if i cant find the ideal fit. am i going to need a p72 or can i just chip a p28?

you can do either. you can buy a p72 or you can chip the p28 since you have the v-tak ecu already just use that one.

You can also add vtec to a p75,p06 and p05 (obd1 p04 93 teg) if you cant run across a p72,p30 or p28.

I like p06s a lot I just chipem add vtec tune. Thy run the 4 wire o2 and I never use the knock on p30s or p72 (donít like it messing with my timing) p28 are getting more and more expensive and hard to find. I can run across a p06 in the yard still.

There are a hand full of jdm ecus you can use to but usually cost a bit more then a usdm.

If you run a stock ecu I would go p72, p28 may be a bit lean.
