Default Ecu obd1 problem

my car is obd2 and i have the obd1 conversion harness. Just tried to plug it in it a manual car and it stalled with clutch in and in gear/out of gear.
Is there any thing else that needs to be done that i'm forgetting?

Found the problem, I have a y7 intake manifold and it's chipped for a y8.
Apparently its the idle control sensor that is different from a y7 to the y8.
Can I switch the wiring up to a y8 so it will work? Or will I have to pickup a y7 sensor and intake manifold.

I just want to do an easy fix for the time being. I'm planning on running a y8 intake manifold really soon in the near future.
Thanks!

3 wire IACV owns you. you cant run that ecu until you swap out the y7's intake mani for a 5speed y8 and convert to a 2 wire IACV
